The crude oil distillation unit (CDU) takes up a major part of the investment costs of any refinery. It is also the most energy consuming part of oil processing. Thus, choosing the right distillation tower can save a significant amount of money in the short term as well as in the long term.

We design tray columns (staged-contact columns) equipped with sieve trays, valve trays, or bubble cap trays. The highest tray tower we manufactured so far was 71 meters in height. It was shipped in three parts, with the final assembly, heat treatment, flaw detection and pressure testing all being conducted onsite.
Sovonex™ packed columns (continuous-contact columns) can be tailored exactly to your specific design requirements. Starting with the dimensions and type of structured packing, we can adjust any parameter of the packed column as specified.
