We specialize in the production of technically advanced 750hp to 3600hp, onshore and offshore drilling rigs (desert, mountain, marshland, shoal and other terrains), including mechanical well drilling rigs, electric drilling rigs and electromechanical drilling rigs as well as drill rig components such as masts, substructures, drawworks, crown blocks, traveling blocks, hooks, swivels, rotary tables and mud pumps.

Drilling Rig in Desert.We have been one of the first rig builders in China to introduce ship painting and assembly-line processing in rig manufacturing. We excel at developing module rigs, simultaneously lifted mast & and substructures, integral intelligent dog houses, single-shaft drawworks, DC dynamic digital control VF transmission systems as well as “tower type” cluster well drill floors used in offshore drilling. The dimensions of all parts of the drilling rig allow for easy railway and road transportation.

  • Every step in the manufacturing process of our rotary drilling rigs may be inspected by a third party inspection company on customers' demand.
  • The general manufacturing process of the steel structure includes the following steps: Inspection of raw materials --> Removing rust using a shot blast --> Priming with corrosion-resistant resins --> High-precision cutting and welding using different methods such as SAW, SMAW, and FCAW --> Second blasting --> Final painting according to shipbuilding standards
  • Painting details: After initial shot blasting, an epoxy zinc-rich base coating, intermediate coating and surface urethane coating are applied to all steel structures. This painting procedure has been adopted from shipbuilding to meet all requirements regarding resistance to corrosion, heat and humidity.
  • Fluid and gas loop connections are reliably sealed and all ball valves are made from stainless steel.
  • The electrical control system used in our drilling rigs has been designed and manufactured in cooperation with ABB and Siemens.
  • Major components of the drill rigs adopt established NOV technology.

Drilling Rig Models

Drilling Rig Specifications

  • The drill floor uses a box-on-box type structure, which is compact and easy to set up.  A large clearance enables easy installation of a blow out preventer (BOP).
  • The intelligent driller house is fully equipped with real time displays of drill rig operation parameters, electrical system parameters, as well as failure alert and other alarm displays. The driller can focus on on the collection of data and optimization of drilling parameters in response to well condition, resulting in more safe, efficient and cost-effective drilling operations.
  • K-type mast without the need of a pulling rope for assembly. Can be lifted as a whole.
  • Our drilling rigs come equipped with a fully hydraulic and precisely controlled casing centralizer.
  • All major parts of the drill rigs such as the crown block, traveling block, hook, hose, rotary table, mast, and substructure conform to API spec and are marked with the API monogram.

Drawworks

  • All drawworks of our rotary drilling rigs are designed in a compact and light-weighted one-piece single shaft structure leading to higher transmission efficiency, reduced maintenance work and a hook hoisting speed of up to 1.3m/s at step-less speed regulation.
  • The drawworks main brake is a hydraulic disc brake with a computer-controlled braking torque. The assistant brake is a dynamic Eddy current brake. The brake unit automatically detects electric voltage on side direct current and if a preset value is exceeded, extra energy is consumed on the brake resistor, thus easily controlling drilling speed.
  • Equipped with an automatic bit-feeding device the drawworks use speed sensors controlled by vector control technique to realize constant WOB auto-bit-feeding as well as zero speed suspension. Bit load is even and bit-feeding is sensitive and accurate resulting in faster drilling speed. In case of a main system failure, the maximum drill string weight can be hoisted in an emergency response.
  • A pneumatic tube clutch allows for quick and easy operation from remote positions.
  • The drawworks drum is grooved and equipped with an assistant lifting device which raises the mast without help of the diesel engines. In case of a main drive failure where the power cannot be passed on to the drawworks, the lifting device can raise the drill string alone thus preventing down hole accidents.
  •  Adopting a split installation above and below the drill floor with the heavy main drawworks being placed at the lower position resulting in extra stability.

Traveling block

  • A sophisticated position control system effectively prevents collision accidents of the traveling block. Position control is achieved by automatic real time detection of the traveling block's position in combination with PLC analysis and calculation. If the traveling block reaches an alert position, a “soft-stop” control procedure is triggered automatically. In addition, accurate real time position indication of the traveling block facilitates operation by the driller.
  • The bus control system is based on the industrial Profibus-DP to efficiently enable data exchange between the driller cabin, the auto-feeding system, the traveling block position control system and the VF speed regulation cabinet. Function parameters are retrieved from different units of the drilling rig and displayed on a user friendly touch screen interface thus optimizing control and operation.

Rotary table and mud pumps

  • The rotary table is driven independently by AC or DC VF motors at 0-240 r/min stepless speed regulation thus eliminating power constraints between the rotary table and the mud pumps and raising drilling speed. The power is provided by an auxiliary generator set.
  • The standpipe box and the rotary table level with the drill floor to make available an even larger operating space.
  • Our well drilling rigs are equipped with heavy-duty triplex single action mud pumps with cardan shaft transmission.
  • Rotary torque and mud pump pressure are digitally controlled for over-torque or overpressure protection.
