For Sale: Refurbished & Certified Top Drives

Through our large client pool, we can offer a wide range of pre-owned, rebuilt top drives ready for shipment. All of our top drives have been recertified to ensure they are working properly.

Recertification includes the drive unit, track, vfd, panel, and a new loop kit. These top drives come with a complete dyno, FAT, and databook. All in accordance with
API RP 8B.

During refurbishment, parts that are not fully functional are replaced with new ones. The result is a top drive that is as good as new but comes at a much better price.

Below is a list of top drives we frequently offer. Most of these are popular models from Varco and TESCO, but we can also provide MH (Aker Solutions) offshore units as well as hydraulic AXON top drives specifically designed for shallow well drilling.

• TDS-4S — 750 hp DC top drive, driven by a 1,110 hp motor. Popular offshore unit for jackups.
• TDS-8SA — Another popular offshore top drive. Same hoisting capacity as the TDS-4S, but driven by a 1,150 AC motor.
• TDS-9SA — The first top drive to use twin motors, this 2 × 350 hp unit prepared the path for the success of the TDS-10SA. Hoisting capacity: 400 tons.
• TDS-10SA — With a capacity of 250 ton, the TDS-10SA is ideally suited for small to medium land rigs as well and jackups. Powered by a single 350 hp AC motor.
• TDS-11SA — The TDS-11SA is of the most popular top drives for onshore drilling applications. Driven by two 400 hp AC motors and rated at 500 tons, this unit is suited perfectly for most 2000 hp drilling rigs.
• TDS-11SH — New generation top drive. Similar to the TDS-11SA, but offering more power and drilling torque.

• 250 HXI 700 — 250 ton top drive employing a powerful 700 hp motor.
• 250 HMI 475 — Popular 250 ton, 475 hp unit for shallow drilling and workover applications. Very compact design.
• 500/650 HCIS 750 — Compact 750 hp top drive, rated at either 500 or 650 tons.
• 500/650 HCIS 1205 — Compact 500/650 ton unit with a powerful 1205 hp motor.
• TESCO HC and HS top drives with different hoisting capacities.

• 150/250 EMI 400 — 150/250 ton top drive, specially designed to fit into smaller masts.
• 350/400 EXI 600 — Very popular 350/400 ton top drive designed for horizontal drilling applications on smaller masts. Powered by a 600 hp AC motor.
• 500/650 ECI 900 — Compact top drive that fits into any triple masts. Rated at either 500 or 650 tons and powered by two 450 hp AC motors.

Tesco has been owned by Nabor Industries since 2017.

• DDM 650 AC — 650 ton unit for offshore drilling applications. Powered by a 1,100 hp AC motor.
• MDDM 1000 AC — 1,270 hp offshore unit with a lifting capacity of 1,000 ton
• MDDM 1250 AC — One of the strongest offshore top drives on the market. Rated at 1,250 tons and engaging up to 2,540 horsepowers.

MH top drive specifications

• Henderson FDS 150T — Top drive for shallow depth drilling applications. Both the TDH-1510 and TDH-1514 are rated at 150 tons, but the latter has higher torque.
• Henderson FDS 250T — Portable 250 ton unit for shallow to medium depth drilling operations. The available models, TDH-2514 and TDH-2519 show different torque parameters.

We carry Varco and TESCO spare parts in stock. Top drive parts like gears, main shaft, manifold assemblies, etc. All parts are original manufacturer parts and brand new.
